Buying Guide

How to buy?

Shopping is made easy with “Joo Huat Book Store Sdn. Bhd.”! Just follow the following steps:

  1. Choose the section (“Product”) and then the category.
  2. View the products you are interested in and click on the photograph to zoom in and see every detail, available sizes, composition, reference code and price.
  3. Select an item of clothing and add it to your basket. You can then choose to continue shopping or to process order.
  4. If you would like to process your order you can do so by either registering or checking-out as a guest.
  5. Choose a delivery method.
  6. Select a payment method.
  7. Confirm the order.
  8. You will receive an email confirming your order.

General information

Are out-of-stock items restocked?

If an item is out of stock, we will try to restock it as soon as possible. If no stock is available, it will be removed from the website.
Will I receive the same product that I see in the photo?
Yes, however there may be slight differences (e.g. colour) between the product and the product picture due to the environment in which the product photoshoot took place.

How do I recover my forgotten password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can recover it in the Log in section. You will receive an email with your new password.

How can I be sure that I’ve made my purchase correctly?

Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email containing your purchase details. If you do not receive an email, contact our customer service.

Can I remove items from my order?

Yes. You can delete any unwanted items from your shopping cart as long as the order hasn’t been processed yet.
What should I do if I receive a faulty item?
At Joo Huat Book Store Sdn. Bhd., we make sure that all our items are in perfect condition so, in the rare event of receiving a faulty item, please refer to our Returns Guide here or contact our customer service.

What should I do if I receive an incorrect item?

If you were to accidentally receive an item that you did not order, please refer to our Returns Guide here or contact our customer service.


What payment method can I use to make my purchase?

We offer the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, and Online Banking.

Can I make payments using direct bank transfers / ATM transfer / meet up / cash on delivery (COD)?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any of these services for the time being.

What if I am unable to complete payment?

Orders with “pending” status will be automatically cancelled within 30 minutes. Please email us with your order number at (…). Our customer service will get in touch with you as soon as possible during office hours.

Why might my credit card be declined?

Your credit card may be declined for any of the following reasons:

  1. Your card may have expired. Verify the validity of your card.
  2. You may have reached your credit limit. Contact your bank to check that you have not exceeded the authorized purchase limit.
  3. You may have entered some information incorrectly. Check that you have filled in all the required fields correctly.


Where can I receive my order?

You can select any address (home, work, etc. – never a PO Box) you want us to deliver to or you can arrange a pick up from our retail store located in Tampin.

How long will my order take to arrive and what are the delivery charges?

Your parcel will be delivered within 1-3 business days to either your home or an alternative address. In checkout, you can change the delivery address or add a new one. During peak season and sale, the delivery process might take a little longer.
Delivery pick up time: Order before 3pm, same working day.
Order after 3pm, nest working day.

Can I track my order?

For now, we does not have tracking order.

What is the home delivery process?

If home delivery is selected, an email confirming that your items have been dispatched (when your order leaves the warehouse), and another email containing your order tracking number (with a link to the courier’s web page) will be sent to you for you to track the delivery progress.

What is the store pick-up process?

If you have selected store pick-up, you make collect it from our store in Melaka. Kindly present your order number and the ID of the person who is collecting the parcel.


If you do decide to make a return, simply fill out the Return Form included in your parcel and send the items back to us.
Please keep in mind, that the items you wish to return need to be sent to us 7 working days from the date you received your parcel.

How do I return an item?

In store: You may choose to return the item by taking it to our retail store in Tampin.
Home collection: If you prefer a home collection, we will send a courier to collect your package within (…) working days.
Please log in and follow the steps listed in (…). If you are not registered at, please use the link sent to you with your order confirmation e-mail.
Items must be in their original condition and you will be required to present the corresponding receipt.
Please note that it is always necessary to have received the merchandise prior to requesting a refund.
Click here to print an empty Return Form in case you lost the one in the parcel.

Do I have to pay anything to return my items?

Yes. You will have to pay for the postage cost of the returns.

Where can I find my receipt?

Please refer to the attachments in the notification e-mails you receive when your order has been sent, or in the “Orders” section in the “Account”.
Please remember that the receipt is necessary for returning or exchanging items.

How long do I have to return an item?

All returns must be made within 7 working days of receiving your parcel.

How will I receive my refund?

Once the return has been approved, you will receive your refund via the same means used to make your purchase.

When will I receive my refund?

Once the return has been approved (the items have to be in perfect condition and internal labels must be intact) you will receive a confirmation email indicating that the refund will be paid into your account within a few days.
Remember that payments to your credit card always depend on your bank/building society.

What should I do if the refund amount is incorrect?

Kindly contact our customer service. We will solve this regrettable situation immediately.
“company” reserves the right to reject returns sent or communicated beyond the return period limit, or items which are not in the same condition in which they were received.


Can I exchange my items?

Yes, you have two options:
You can exchange the item in our retail store in Tampin.
From your home: you can request a return and place a new order online.
Before you request for any exchange, kindly refer to our Returns & Exchange.


Which internet browsers should I use to view the “company” web page correctly?

Please use Google Chrome for the best possible result.
